Is the product I’m looking for included in Designer?
Yes. Vectorworks Designer includes the full product line including: Fundamentals, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, and Machine Design. Vectorworks Designer 2008 is the most comprehensive and user-friendly solution for all your design needs, allowing you to use one program for everything, from conception to completion. Is Vectorworks easy to use?
Yes, Vectorworks is very easy to use and has a built in help system. There are several other training aids available. Please speak to a sales representative for more information.
What is the learning curve of Vectorworks?
The learning curve is very short because Vectorworks is intuitive.
What training materials are available to learn Vectorworks products?
We have training CD’s, work books, online training, personalized training, and classroom training.
What industries use Vectorworks?
Any industry that requires proposal drawings, construction documents, details, elevations, etc… Some of the industries we support are Architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, landscaping, lighting, theatrical lighting, set/stage design, and mechanical.
What does Vectorworks cost?
Vectorworks is available to educators and schools at academic prices to fit the school budget. Students may request a free copy from our online student community at Student.Vectorworks.Net. Please speak to a sales representative to address your specific needs.

What grade levels are able to instruct Vectorworks?
Any grade from K-12, College/University, to graduate programs.
Is there technical support for the educational version?
Yes, we offer technical support to all customers who have purchased the current shipping version. For more information see the NNA corporate Tech support policy.
Licensing:
Can I open a file received from a professional user?
Yes, but the file will now be converted to an educational format and add a watermark.
Can I send a file to a professional user?
Yes, a professional version can open a file created on an educational version, but it remain is the educational format with a watermark.
How do I show my work to a potential new employer?
The documents can be printed, sent as an image file, create a PDF, or sent them the file to open in VW. The employer can also install the Vectorworks viewer and open the files.
Will the educational version print with a watermark?
Yes, the educational version will print with a watermark on all machines that are not a part of a school networked lab. The school lab computers will print without the watermark.
Can I use the educational version for work?
No, but you can purchase a professional version and use the software for work.
